What is a Mothers Blessing?
A Mothers Blessing Ceremony is an intimate party inspired by an ancient Navajo ceremony called a Blessing Way.
The ceremony is held to spiritually prepare and celebrate the expectant mother’s birth journey into motherhood with the focus on her rather than the conventional baby shower where the focus is on the baby.
The Mothers Blessing creates a space to shower the mother-to-be with love, support, spiritual healing and encouragement from her chosen closest women in her life.
What happens during a Mothers Blessing Ceremony?
Mother’s blessing Ceremonies can be tailored to what the mother would like to do including the amount of time, how many people attend, where it is held and what activities they do. However to help I have a guideline of how the day will run which is a minimum of 4 hours, and includes a Cacao Ceremony, 2 activities, a Sound Bath and time for lunch.
Some common activities during a Mother's Blessing Ceremony would be:
Crystal bracelet making or cord bracelet making as a cost effective alternative
Speaking and offering written words of support and wishes for mother and baby
Candle decorating
Everyone writes a letter of support to the mother-to-be. Once baby is born I will send one letter a month in the post to help mummy on her journey
Belly painting
Giving a massage or pampering to the mother-to-be
How to Book a Mothers Blessing Ceremony
If you would like me to organise and host your Mothers Blessing Ceremony, we will have an initial meeting in person, online or over the telephone to plan how you would like the day to run.
For this meeting there is a £30 fee which is classed as a deposit and taken off the total price of the ceremony.
Following our consultation to secure your booking I ask for a 50% deposit. I will then organise the Mothers Blessing Ceremony giving you the peace of mind of just turning up on the day. On the day I will facilitate the women in your life to support you, hold you and celebrate you and your transition into motherhood.
